Slingsby T.43 Skylark 3F BGA.932 near Selby.

On 24th June 1984 this glider was flown on what was the pilot's first solo cross country flight. While attempting a landing in the Selby area he mistook a grass field for one that contained a crop so attempted to land in a second field. This field also had a crop in it. When a wing tip struck the crop it caused the glider to ground loop and be badly damaged. In the 1984-85 British Soaring Handbook this glider is listed as registered to R.Strembrowicz, of Yorkshire (possibly the Yorkshire Gliding Club).
