EoN Olympia 2 BGA.603 near Pocklington.
At around noon on Wednesday, 19th September 1984 this glider was being given an aero-tow launch at Pocklington airfield when the airbrakes on the glider extended. The tug pilot attempted to continue with the launch to get the glider to a better height for casting off but the glider began to sink so he cast off. The glider pilot was still at a low height so made a landing directly straight ahead in the Canal Head area of Pocklington. The glider received damage. In the 1984-85 British Soaring Handbook this glider is listed as registered to P.Hepperstall, of the Burn Gliding Club.
