LET L-13 Blanik BGA.1500 near Boroughbridge.
At 14.00hrs on 27th August 1983 the pilot of this glider lost sight of Dishforth airfield in hazy conditions. He made a landing near Boroughbridge in a stubble field but the undercarriage was damaged when it ran across wheel ruts in the ground caused by tractor wheels. The glider was registered to Hambletons Gliding Club, based at Dishforth airfield.
