Schleicher K-7 BGA.1259 at Rufforth airfield.
At 14.00hrs on 13th February 1983 this glider failed to correctly launch during a winch launch at Rufforth airfield so one of the pilots cast off at 100 feet above the ground. He attempted to land on the grass at the side of the runway but the glider struck a concrete block that was partially buried in snow and this damaged it. The glider was registered to Leeds Polytechnic and was based at Rufforth airfield.
