Schleicher Ka-6 BGA.2355 at Moor Monkton.
At 15.15hrs on 7th August 1982 the pilot of this glider was attempting to make a landing in a field at Moor Monkton but encountered heavy sink on a downwind flight of the field. The pilot tried to then land downwind but as the field was sloping he could not stop it before it ran into a caravan parked at the edge of the field. The glider was registered to M.H.Thomson who based it at Rufforth airfield.
