Schleicher Ka-6 BGA.2315 damaged in the air, landed at Doncaster airfield.

During the afternoon of 15th April 1982 this glider was being flown at speed in the Doncaster area when the pilot heard a bang. He reduced speed and found that it continued to fly normally. After landing at Doncaster airfield it was discovered that that a centre section fairing was missing and that there was some damage to the fin. The fin had been struck by the fairing as it detached in the air. Further investigations found that wings nuts retaining the fairing had not been fitted. The glider was registered to the Doncaster Gliding Club.
