Schleicher Ka-7 BGA.1729 at Doncaster airfield.
At 15.20hrs on 4th December 1982 this glider was given a winch launch at Doncaster airfield with a pupil flying with an instructor. The launch was fast and a weak link broke on the cable which then caused minor damage to the port elevator (presumably as it whipped back and hit it). The pilot (probably the instructor) then recovered control and made a landing on the airfield. The glider was registered to Vectis Gliding Club and was based on the Isle of Wight.
