Druine D.62C Condor G-AZMV at Rufforth airfield.
On 3rd October 1982 this Ouse Gliding Club aircraft was damaged while taxying at Rufforth airfield when it collided with a fire tender that the pilot had forgotten was parked infront of the aircraft. The aircraft was registered to Ouse Gliding Club Ltd, and was based at Rufforth airfield.
Pilot - Name unknown.
Sailpane and Glider magazine February 1983 club news stated that the club's tug aircraft was back in use after an engine rebuild following a slight mishap. Whilst this could relate to the same incident I would suggest not as the Condor appears to have been too under-powered for towing.
