Socata TB.10 Tobago G-BHMN at Netherthorpe airfield.

On Wednesday, 16th September 1981 this aircraft was due to have been flown on a business trip to Bournemouth from Netherthorpe airfield but failed to gain height on take off. It crashed through two hedges, crossed a road and caught fire. It came to rest in a field near the airfield and all on board vacated the aircraft but sustained minor injuries. The aircraft was registered to Cavendish Aviation Ltd, of Baslow, Derbyshire, and was destroyed as a result of this incident. It was leased to Sheffield Aero Club at the time of this incident.
