On 26th June 1980 this aircraft was struck by lightning in the air. The pilot then made an emegency landing at Leeds-Bradford airfield. This aircraft was registered to Cosalt Ltd, of Grimsby on 30th June 1980 but was almost certainly in their ownership four days earlier when this incident occurred. Later in the day another aircraft from Grimsby (from DK Aviation Ltd) landed at Leeds-Bradford to assist.
