Schleicher ASW-19 BGA.2451 at Doncaster.
At 15.00hrs on 12th June 1980 this glider was being given an aero-tow launch at Doncaster airfield when its airbrakes were seen to open. The pilot was informed of this issue by radio but he operated the undercarriage lever several times in error. Believing that there was a problem with the airbrakes he cast off the tow. A short time later he made a landing in a nearby park with the undercarriage up.
