LET L-13 Blanik BGA.2106 damaged in the air, landed at Dishforth airfield.
At 14.42hrs on 9th March 1980 during flight the tailcone of this glider swung up and fouled the rudder and elevator, restricting movement of the controls. The instructor took control and landed the glider normally at Dishforth airfield. An investigation found that a securing pin was not in place or engaged into the fuselage fitting. The glider was registered to Hambletons Gliding Club and was based at Dishforth.
