On 29th September 1979 this aircraft's engine cut out while on the approach to land at Grindale airstrip. It was then damaged in a forced landing at or close to Grindale airstrip.

The aircraft was registered to Strutbest Ltd, trading as Sussex Agricultural Aviation Services, and was based at Shoreham airfield. It cannot have been badly damaged as it was registered to Shoreham Flight Simulation, of Littlehammpton, Sussex on 22nd November 1979.
