Reims-Cessna F.177RG Cardinal G-AZKH at Doncaster.
On Thursday, 5th July 1979 this aircraft was involved in an accident whilst taking off from Doncaster racecourse which saw the propeller, engine, nose and left undercarriage leg sustain damage. The aircraft was registered to Francis Barton Springs, of Poole, Dorset at the time of this incident.
Pilot - Name unknown.
The aircraft was subsequently sold and later rebuilt, it was then re-registered as G-OADE on 20th May 1982 by Drive Petroleum Co.Ltd, of Rawdon, Leeds. It was blighted with various undercarriage issues over the coming decades.
