A very vague reference to an incident that involved this aircraft is mentioned in Yorkshire Air News in January 1979 that suggests damage was sustained at Kirkbymoorside in late-1978 following an undercarriage collapse at the Vickers-Slingsby Sailplanes factory site, prior to it being registered on the UK register. It appears to have been one of three identical Romanian-built gliders at the Vickers factory at Kirkbymoorside to convert them into powered gliders.
The G-BICA registation was not officially taken up.
