Vickers V.806 Viscount G-AOYI at Leeds-Bradford airfield.

During the evening of 28th December 1978 this British Airways aircraft made a heavy landing at Leeds-Bradford airfield following a flight from London Heathrow. It suffered minor damage to the starboard wing, one of the propellers and the fuselage skinning which suggests an undercarriage problem. The incident is briefly mentioned in Yorkshire Air News which gave perhaps a more dismal outlook on the damage, stating it was believed to perhaps need four new engines and a new main spar.
