Jaguar drogue parachute release incident.

On 18th March 1974 a Jaguar from Warton undertaking a trial flight at 20,000 feet over the Kettlewell area when it went into a spin. The pilot attempted to deploy a drogue parachute to take it out of a spin but it failed to work so was jettisoned. While the Jaguar then got out of the spin and landed normally, the parachute was later found and recovered at Bracken Ridge, Lofthouse, near Pateley Bridge. The parachute had a live explosive attached to the end.
