Cessna FR.172E Reims Rocket G-BAAS at Grindale airstrip.
On 13th July 1973 this aircraft damaged the nosewheel and propeller in a landing at accident at Grindale airstrip. The aircraft was taken to Leeds-Bradford for repair on 3rd August 1973. The aircraft was registered to Mr Stuart Ernest Clay, of Driffield, who based the aircraft at Grindale. It was one aircraft that was used for jumping parachutists by the Grindale Sports Parachute Centre. A photograph of a human jumping from it appeared in the Hull Daily Mail on the same date as this mishap.
