Reims Cessna FRA.150 Aerobat G-AZLL at Ledston Luck.
On 27th March 1972 this new aircraft was on the delivery flight from Le Touquet, France, to Northair Aviation Ltd, at Leeds-Bradfield airfield when the engine stopped in the Castleford area. Owing to a number of pylons and power lines in the area the pilot had to make a forced landing in a ploughed field next to Ledston Luck colliery. Unfortunately it then overturned and was damaged. The aircraft was transported to Leeds-Bradford for assessment over the course of the next couple of days and for repair. It was registered to Northair Aviation Ltd, of Leeds-Bradford airfield. The pilot was from Hipperholme while the passenger was from the Bury area.
Pilot - Mr Peter Travers.
Passenger - Mr Glen Stewart.
