Rollason Druine D.62B Condor G-AXGT near Stourton.
On 19th January 1972 this aircraft made a precautionary landing in a wheat field owing to bad weather alongside Pontefract Lane, Leeds. This is between Stourton and Temple Newsham. The following day it was flown out from the field by the chief flying instructor from Sherburn.
The aircraft was registered to Norman Herbert Jones, of Surrey, who owned a large number of aircraft. He almost certainly leased out aircraft to clubs and in this case G-AXGT was probably leased to Sherburn Aero Club.
