Piper PA-24-180 Comanche G-ARSC at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.

On 5th September 1971 during an attempted short landing at Sherburn in Elmet airfield this aircraft's undercarriage struck a tussock of grass and earth in the undershoot area. The starboard undercarriage leg broke off and while the aircraft was substantially damaged it was later transported to Leeds-Bradford airfield for repair. No injuries were reported.

The aircraft was registered to Mr David Adlington, David Michael Chambers and Douglas William Wright, of the Chesterfield area and whom were the members of the Chesterfield Air Touring Group.
