Beagle B.206 G-AWRO at Church Fenton airfield.
On 25th May 1970 an airshow was held at Church Fenton airfield which was descibed as an "S.S.A.F.A. Air Pageant". The SSAFA or Soldiers', Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association undertook fundraising around the country to raise money for the cause their name describes. The one at Church Fenton saw both military and civilian aircraft attend the event and the two Beagle 206 belonging to the same owner aircraft were brought to undertake a flying display. While one of these aircraft was landing it suffered the undercarriage collapse after giving a display to the crowd.
The aircraft was owned by Northair Aviation Ltd, based at Leeds-Bradford airfield, and was mainly used as an airtaxi by Northern Air Taxi.
