Laverda F-8L Falco G-AVUJ damaged in the air, landed at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.
On 5th July 1970 the Yorkshire Territorial Flying Group held an airshow at Sherburn in Elmet airfield during which various flying displays were carried out. While in the air the starboard wing struck a power cable which severed the aileron and part of the starboard wing. The pilot was able to land without further incident on the airfield at Sherburn in Elmet. The missing sections were later rebuilt by Slingsby's once drawings were received from Italy.

The aircraft was owned by Mr Edwin "Ted" Dawson, of Huddersfield. It was probably based at the nearby Crosland Moor airfield.
