On Wednesday, 21st February 1968 this No.1 Flying Training School took off from Linton on Ouse airfield with the pupil pilot detailed to undertake a training flight. He became disorientated in cloud over the Wetherby area so ejected. I have not located information to state exactly where this aircraft then crashed at the time of creating this webpage. The area around Collingham was stated in newspapers. The local newspapers of the day are not yet on the British Newspaper Archive and I have yet to visit the local libraries to look at hard copies.
