Piper PA-30-160 Twin Comanche OY-DMC at Easington, East Yorkshire.
During the morning of 3rd January 1968 and during a flight from Aarhus, Denmark to Leeds-Bradford when the radio failed in bad weather. Almost certainly lost, the pilot made a forced landing in a wet field at Easington, East Yorkshire but the wheels sank into deep mud. The pilot was able to get airborne later in the day once the luggage and three passengers left the aircraft. He flew it to Brough airfield where the radio was repaired. The passengers resumed their journey to Leeds by train. The aircraft was then flown to Oxford the following day. The aircraft was registered to P.Campens Maskinfabrik and was based at Aashus, Denmark.
