Jet Provost T.4 XP684 at Church Fenton airfield.

On 26th November 1965 Jet Provost XP684, of No.7 Flying Training School, had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. The unit was based at Church Fenton airfield so any incident probably occurred there.

Jet Provost XP684 was built to contract KC/E/057 by BAC Ltd. at Luton and was awaiting collection on 21st November 1962. Eight days later it was taken on charge by No.7 Flying Training School at Church Fenton. It received two Cat.3R damage assessments in 1965 against it, the first on 6th January 1965 and the second on 26th November 1965, both probably damaged at Church Fenton. It was repaired on site each time and returned to the unit. On 30th November 1966 it went to 27 MU at Shawbury. On 14th June 1967 it went to Marshall's Ltd. at Cambridge for conversion to a T.52 variant. On 30th August 1967 it was sold to BAC and registered as G-27-93. It was later sold to the South Yemen Air Force.
