Slingsby T.8 Tutor BGA.769 near Rufforth.
Considering this was a fatal incident very little is known around what happened. On 16th April 1965 this glider was being flown in the Rufforth area when a wing fell off, the glider then dived into the ground and the pilot was killed. The pilot, and presumably the glider, was part of the Ouse Gliding Club that was based at Rufforth.
