Buccaneer S.1 XN965 damaged in the air, landed safely (location unknown).
On 11th November 1964 Buccaneer XN965, of 809 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, based at Lossiemouth, was being flown on a low level navigation exercise when it was slightly damaged
in a bird strike in the Castleton area. No details of where it subsequently then landed are known. It later had a minor damage assessment of Cat.LQ/FA made against it, (the RAF
equivalent of Cat.2). Which Castleton this was is not currently clear.
