Jet Provost T.3 XM361 at Church Fenton airfield.

On 1st September 1964 Jet Provost XM361 of No.7 Flying Training School, had a Cat.3R damage assessent it made against it. The unit was based at Church Fenton and any damage probably occurred there. Nothing more is known around what occurred.

Jet Provost XM361 was built to contract 6/ACFT/14157 by Hunting Aircraft Ltd. at Luton, it was awaiting collection on 30th June 1959 and went to 5 MU at Kemble on the same date. On 31st August 1959 it was taken on charge by the Central Flying School at Little Rissington. On 18th March 1961 it went to BAC Ltd. at Luton for modifications and was returned to the CFS on 10th July 1961. On 14th March 1962 it was transferred to No.7 Flying Training School at Church Fenton. On 1st September 1964 it had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. It was repaired on site by 60 MU and was returned to No.7 F.T.S. charge. On 5th April 1966 it was transferred to R.A.F.C. at Cranwell then on 26th June 1969 it went to 27 MU at Shawbury. On 5th January 1973 it went to 5 MU at Kemble where it was declared a non-effective airframe on 14th February 1973. It was scrapped at Kemble on 8th August 1974.
