Jet Provost T.3 XM359 at Church Fenton airfield.
On 12th October 1962 Jet Provost XM359 of No.7 Flying Training School was being taxied around Church Fenton prior to a training exercise when an undercarriage leg collapsed. Cat.3R damage was the damage
assessment and it was repaired on site.

Jet Provost XM359 was built to contract 6/ACFT/14157 by Hunting Percival Ltd. at Luton and was awaiting collection on 30th June 1959. It was immediately despatched to 27 MU at Shawbury and was the taken
on charge by the Central Flying School at Little Rissington on 31st July 1959. On 4th January 1961 it went back to Hunting Percival Ltd. at Luton for modifications which were completed on 10th February 1962.
On 23rd March 1962 it was taken on charge by No.7 Flying Training School at Church Fenton. It received damage at Church Fenton on 12th October 1962 that saw a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. It
was repaired on site and returned to the unit. On 2nd April 1963 it was involved in an unspecified 'crash' at Church Fenton that saw another Cat.3R damage assessment. It was then repaired on site by 60 MU. On
24th June 1963 it was returned to 7 F.T.S. charge. On 2nd August 1966 it was transferred to No.2 Flying Training School at Syerston. On 15th September 1966 it was transferred to No.6 Flying Training School
at Acklington but it went back to 2 FTS on 29th December 1967. On 6th October 1969 it went to 27 MU at Shawbury then on 14th March 1972 it was taken by road to 5 MU at Kemble. On 19th January 1975 it was
declared to be a non-effective airframe and on 28th May 1976 it was taken to the Sennybridge Military firing range.
