Unidentified Chipmunk at Dishforth airfield.
Vague details of an incident after February 1962 suggest that a Chipmunk T.10, of Leeds University Air Squadron, was damaged at Dishforth airfield when it
collided with a GPO mail van at Dishforth. The National archives do not appeat to hold the Leeds U.A.S. orb for 1962.
Two Chipmunks were struck off charge at Dishforth around this time and both were on charge with Leeds UAS at the time. WP862 was struck off charge on 19th April 1963
and WP908 was struck off charge on 3rd August 1962. The damaged Chipmunk could be one of these aircraft.
