Beverley C.1 XM103 damaged in the air, landed at Dishforth airfield.

Dishforth station record book states that on 24th May 1961 this aircraft was being flown on a local flying exercise when the crew were deafened by an explosion in the aircraft. After landing at Dishforth it was found that the explosion was in a battery compartment. This was a 242 OCU aircraft at the time.
