Javelin FAW.5 XH692 at Leeming airfield.
On 4th May 1961 this 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft landed at Leeming airfield without incident but after landing a starter cartidge accidentally fired. It unfortunately pierced the fuselage and a ventral fuel tank which then caught fire. The aircraft was badly damaged and was not repaired.
