Javelin FAW.4 XA755 damaged in the air, landed at Leconfield airfield.
On 20th February 1960 this 72 Squadron aircraft suffered first stage turbine blade failure during a training flight. The pilot shut off the engine and made a single engine landing at Leconfield airfield. An inspection found that the engine had sustained some failed impeller blades and these had punctured both the fuselage and the ventral fuel tanks.
