Javelin FAW.5 XA643 at Leeming airfield.
On 5th October 1960 this 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft suffered the starboard undercarriage locking in the up position while on the approach to land at Leeming airfield. The pilot subsequently landed with the undercarriage leg up and by controlling the aircraft's position the pilot was able to land with relatively minor damage though it would have eventually slowed and settled onto the starboard wing.
