Varsity T.1 WF375 (damage assessment) at Topcliffe airfield.

The No.1 Air Navigation School record book (AIR29/2587) gives some details that can be pieced together to form this webpage. In February 1960 this Varsity was delivered to them by No.5 M.U. but was inspected by No.60 M.U. when it arrived. It was found to have a damaged bulkhead on the No.1 engine so was given a Cat.3 damage assessment and deemed unservicable. It was repaired on site by No.60 MU and was noted as being complete in March 1960.

How and where the damage to the bulkhead occurred is not stated. It may not relate to any incident occurring in Yorkshire and I will delete this webpage if information comes to light to say so.
