On 5th May 1958 the undercarriage of this No.1 Air Navigation School aircraft was retracted in error on landing at Topcliffe airfield. The pilot had selected the undercarriage lever instead of the flap lever. The aircraft was initially assessed as repairable but as the type was being withdrawn from service this appears to have never happened and it was struck off charge.
