On 30th July 1957 this No.1 Air Navigation School aircraft landed at Topcliffe without incident and the pilot cleared runway. A short time later the pilot released the parking brake and reached over to engage the nose wheel steering but his overalls caught on the undercarriage lever. As he moved forward the overalls caused the lever to move resulting in the undercarriage folding. The aircraft was sent for repair and was later sold to the civilian market at G-AMHT in 1958.
