On 21st December 1957 this Fighter Weapons School aircraft was flown on a rocket firing exercise on ranges on the East Yorkshire coast. It suffered ricochet damage to the port wing during the exercise but the pilot landed safely, probably back at Driffield airfield where the unit was based.
