On 6th January 1957 this 609 Squadron aircraft suffered damage as the result of a birdstrike on take off from Church Fenton airfield. 609 Squadron was due to disband shortly after this date and the last flying weekend for the auxilliary pilots was 5th / 6th January 1957.
