On Thursday, 10th October 1957 this No.85 Squadron aircraft suffered brake failure on landing at Church Fenton airfield and overshot the runway. It appears to have come close to hitting a baker in his van on an ajoining road who was waiting behind a red traffic signal at the time. Repairable damage resulted.
