Hunter F.4 XF303 at Linton on Ouse airfield.

On 23rd August 1956 this 66 Squadron aircraft ran off the runway at Linton on Ouse during a landing in heavy rain and the pilot raised the undercarriage to bring the aircraft to a stop before it ran off the flying area. The damage was later repaired.

Pilot - Sgt Alastair Alfred Holyoake RAF (3054036)

Alastair Holyoake later received a commission and rose through to the rank of Squadron Leader, he was awarded the Air Force Cross in 1972 and died in 2023.
