On 27th November 1956 this 36 Squadron aircraft was flown on an evening training exercise that included making a number of circuits and landings at Topcliffe airfield with some being single engine landings. The exercise begun at 15.05hrs and went through until 17.15hrs when the pilot forgot to lower the undercarriage on the sixth landing in darkness. A belly landing resulted. The squadron disbanded a few weeks later and the aircraft was not repaired.
