On 17th May 1956 the brakes of this 264 Squadron aircraft failed during a night landing at Linton on Ouse airfield. The aircraft swung off the runway and struck an airfield lighting switching building at the southern end of the airfield site. The aircraft's nose was damaged and was deemed repair.
