The 228 Operational Conversion Unit record book gives the following information, but without an exact date, that in June 1956 a Meteor landed at Leeming airfield but burst the port tyre on the landing run, this then caused minor damage to the mudguard. This aircraft was one that was on detachment at North Luffenham and was returning to Leeming for servicing.
