On 15th November 1956 this 219 Squadron aircraft took off from Driffield airfield for an air firing exercise with a wooden "Guns Loaded" sign hanging from a panel in front of the starboard engine intake. This sign then appears to have been ingested into the engine on take off with less than favourable results.
