During the evening of 27th July 1956 the pilot of this 219 Squadron aircraft was landing at Driffield airfield in heavy rain but was unable to stop on the length of runway. The aircraft overshot by some 400 yards causing damage to the undercarriage and the underside of the aircraft. The damage was later repaired and it was returned to the squadron on 21st December 1956.
