Details surrounding this incident need to be researched, until I do that the basic details are, on 11th June 1956 the flap control of this Station Flight, Linton on Ouse, aircraft malfunctioned on the approach to land at Thornaby. The aircraft then received some form of damage on landing but exactly what is unclear. The damage was later repaired.
