On 24th June 1955 this 92 Squadron aircraft was being scrambled as part of "Exercise Fabulous" and the pilot tried to take off on the short runway at Linton on Ouse airfield. He lifted the nose too soon and the aircraft failed to get airborne. The pilot was then unable to stop the aircraft on the runway and it ran through boundary hedge into field. A fire then broke out. The pilot sustained minor injuries.
