On 29th December 1955 this Fighter Weapons School aircraft was being flown low in the range area of Skipsea when it struck a telegraph post during a low level bombing exercise. The pilot from No.136 PAI Course went on to land normally, probably back at Leconfield where the aircraft was based. The unit orb does not identify the aircraft but does state that Venom WE402 and Meteor WH412 sustaind Cat.3 damage in the month so was probably one of these two.
